Frequently Asked Questions!

  • We put the children’s safety and education first. We have a full time Program Manager that is dedicated to curriculum, staff training, schedule adaptations and 1:1 care as needed.

  • We are open Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.

    Saturday we are open 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m..

    On Saturday we accept the last drop in at 8:00 p.m.

  • During the weekday, our center is primarily a Preschool Prep (2 to 3years), Preschool (3 to 4 years), and a Kinder Prep (4 to 5 years) weekly program. We have limited drop-in room, so please call ahead. Especially on no school day ! :)

    We accept drop-ins during the week and on Saturdays as staffing allows! We accept ages 2 to 12 years old based on staffing. All drop-ins are based on first come, first serve.

  • Pre-Registration/Waitlist Fees:

    Before starting with Gimme-A-Break, we will schedule a tour and provide a pre-registration form. It will include the basic information on the child(ren) you are looking to enroll. Once the form is returned with a one-time, $35.00 fee. We will work on arranging a start date once accepted.

    If you are joining Gimme-A-Break as a drop-in, and would like to drop-in that day, you will need to complete an Enrollment Form in its entirety, and provide an annual $10.00 registration fee. Must provide immunizations at the time of pick-up, or at the time of the next visit.

  • $210 -- Weekly full-time payers, pay on Monday morning for the week of care.

    $168 -- Weekly part-time payers (3 days of care), pay on the 1st day of care for the week.

    $112 -- Weekly part-time payers (2 days of care), pay on the 1st day of care for the week.

    $10.00 per hour -- Drop in/Hourly payers pay the first hour upfront, and then is included in the final total. The remainder of the balance is paid at the time of pick up.

  • Saturday Charges: $10.00 per hour -- Drop in/Hourly payers pay the first hour upfront, and then is included in the final total. The remainder of the balance is paid at the time of pick up.

    We accept our last drop-in at 8:00 p.m.

  • There are lunch options for $5 per child, or you may bring your own lunch.

    Socks for $3 (socks are required).

    Diapers are $2 per diaper and wipes.

  • If needed, diapers, wipes, and extra clothes. Nap mat and blanket are required for nap. Comfort item from home is helpful. A lunch from home, or we do offer lunch options for an additional $5 per meal. We do provide a.m. and p.m. snack.

  • We do accept state certificates. Until we receive the certificate from the state, we ask that you pay as a private payer, or wait for care until the certificate is received.

  • We accept all major credit and debit cards and cash. We not not accept personal checks.

  • At this time we do not have a parent engagement application. We anticipate adding this for our full-time weekly children in the upcoming months.

  • Late Fees:

    Weekly, full time and part time payers do not incur late fees unless they are picked up after 6:30 p.m. At that time, a minimum of $15 for the initial late fee after 6:30 p.m., and then $1 per min, per child thereafter until child(ren) is picked up. This applies to all payers and is due immediately at pick up. Calling to let us know you will be late is highly recommended so we are not calling emergency contacts and emergency numbers; however, a phone call does not mitigate the late fees.

    Hourly and Saturday late fees run $5 for every 30 minutes the child is past the scheduled pick-up time. We use the pick-up times to accept or deny other children in the center based on staffing. These fees may be avoided by calling in advance and changing your pick-up time given that we would have availability for a later pick up. If there is no availability for an extended pick-up time, a late fee would be applied and is due immediately at pick up.
